NORTH Wiltshire District Council's offices have been closed for a second day due to problems with the gas supply.

Wales and West Utilities, the gas distribution company for the area, said yesterday the problems had been caused by a water leak, which had penetrated the gas main.

All of the 100 homes affected have had their gas supplies restored while engineers continue to work on the district council offices in Monkton Park.

Put some extra layers on and get to back to work.
If it was permanent then there may be a H&S issue to answer, but this was temporary so unforseen and tough luck.
It makes you wonder what other petty issues would close down our services.

Get some alternative heating in place. A 100 fan heaters would cost less than the 2 days free money they have clocked up.

Typical council workers, they want the best of everything. most of their tennants are given poorly maintained housing. and are expected to live in poor housing. yet these leeches go home when they get a bit cold.

The council workers had a short day on Thursday and Friday for this exact reason. Therefore the 2 days are actually spead over 4 days and a weekend.
Shape up!
