SWIMMING star Stephanie Millward will be supporting a fundraising effort in aid of Royal United Hospital Bath’s planned cancer care centre at Corsham’s Jet Set Salon next week.
The former Corsham School student, who won four silver medals and one bronze at this year’s Paralympic Games, will pose for pictures on Friday from 2-7pm.
Funds raised at the salon in Lypiatt Road will go towards The Forever Friends Appeal’s RUH Cancer Care Campaign, which aims to raise £5m over the next four years towards a new cancer costing £20.5m and expected to open in 2017.
Kate Bruhl, from the appeal, said: “It is truly valuable for us to have such dedicated support from local retailers, who can help us not only raise funds but also raise awareness of the appeal’s new campaign.”
Visitors can sample a treatments including Indian head massage and nail colouring at the family business, which opened 24 years ago. There will also be a raffle.
