Corsham travel agent Sunshine Travel has closed, but directors have assured customers all bookings are safe.
The business, based in High Street since 2003, was owned and managed by Karen Matthews, a former travel agency manager of the year.
She said: “I am too upset to comment further, but I have no choice but to cease trading and I am taking advice to close the company.
“All the bookings are 100 per cent safe and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the customers, and for the wonderful support I have received from Global Travel Group and, of course, my staff. It is really very sad.”
The company, whose forward bookings had increased by 22 per cent, had seen a reduction in bank support.
