Panto players from Box return to the stage next week, for this year’s pantomime performance of Aladdin.
The keen group will don their costumes for shows at Selwyn Hall, from Wednesday to Saturday, at 7.30pm daily, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday.
The production is a family affair, with Fiona Wood as Pong the policeman, 30 years after her mother, Steph, took the role.
Sophie Stanton, who helps run the panto, said: “It’s been going absolutely brilliantly. We’re all ready for our dress rehearsal this weekend. It’s got up-to-date chart hits, as well as all the old musical numbers everyone knows.
“There’s about 40 of us, including the stage hands. We don’t consider ourselves to be amateur dram-atists. We’re just a gang that likes hanging out together.”
Tickets are £6.50 for adults, or £5 for concessions, available from Stop Press newsagents.
