Three community groups in Corsham have benefitted from the Town Council’s latest round of grants.
Relationship counsellors Relate Mid-Wiltshire received £500 towards a new bursary scheme, which will enable people on low incomes to access their counselling service.
Business development manager Pamela Woods said: “We are truly grateful for this as it means people on low incomes or the unemployed with financial difficulty can apply for funding for the counselling they may need.”
Corsham photographic club received £400 towards a new laptop, which will be used by club members to help with their various projects.
Club vice chairman Joe McNeilage said: “The one we had was a bit ancient, it just couldn’t handle what we needed it for.”
Finally, £450 was awarded to Springboard Opportunity Group, which will be put towards transport costs for disabled children to get to their centre.
Town Council Chairman, Councillor Peter Anstey, said: “We are delighted to be able to support three such varied schemes.”
