Young people in Corsham helped kick racism out of sport at Springfield Community Campus by showing off their football skills.
The campus hosted its first Kick It Out event as 35 young people aged 11-19 tackled the crossbar challenge, beat the 'keeper and a chip bin and keep up challenge.
Teams lined up for a series of matches on the campus all-weather pitch before the whistle was blown on a successful fun day thanks to the support of the Corsham Area Board.
The Corsham Kick It Out event was part of Wiltshire Council’s Sports Development team’s wider Kick It Out programme which also held events in Chippenham and Salisbury.
The all-weather pitch at Springfield Community Campus is already being used by The Corsham School and local sports clubs including Corsham Hockey Club who train and play matches on it.
Jonathan Seed, cabinet member for campuses, said: "I'm delighted to see the facilities at the Springfield Campus now being used by the local community and especially young people".
"As part of our public health and communities agendas we are committed to increasing sports and physical activity levels amongst both adults and children and the campus programme ensures that we have high quality facilities where these type of activities can take place.
"There will be more events of this type in the future and we encourage people of all ages to get involved."
