FORMER Corsham School pupil and hit blogger Zoe Sugg is in the running for the prestigious Cosmopolitan Women of the Year Awards.

The 24-year-old started her blog in 2009 in her bedroom in Lacock as a hobby to inject some creativity into her free time, posting make-up reviews and hair tutorials.

She now has an audience of more than 12 million every month to her blog, and following this success Miss Sugg, also known as Zoella, has been nominated for the ‘Game Changer’ award.

“I could have stopped blogging because no-one was reading it, but I stuck at it.” she said.

“I think if you’re passionate about something, even if it’s not taking off as you hoped, you should stick with it.”

Today, her huge fan base has made her the most popular beauty video blogger in the UK.

She has 8.5million subscribers on YouTube - more than One Direction and Coldplay put together - and in October she was named the top-ranking Brit in the Times’ Top 20 Under 30 YouTube stars.

At the start-studded event on December 3, hosted by Cosmopolitan Magazine and Bailey’s, in Mayfair, London Miss Sugg will be brushing shoulders with the likes of celebrities, actresses and radio presenters.

Miss Sugg, who now lives in Brighton, has also graced magazine covers, written a book and recently launched her own bath and beauty range.
