A TRAIN driver was left shaken and taken off duty after a large object thrown from a footbridge hit his cab as he was driving near the former train station in Corsham.
A hole the size of a breeze block was made to the front of the train and other damage included a large dent near the engine. Another train was also reported to have been hit.
The incident happened just before 8pm on Monday when the train driver spotted a youth on the footbridge.
The British Transport Police are investigating and Corsham Neighbourhood Policing Team are assisting them with their enquiries. Anyone with any information can call the non-emergency number 101.
