POLICE are investigating the theft of bank books from a pensioner’s bedroom by two men.
The men knocked on the 85-year-old’s front door in Box asking if she had heard an explosion. They then said they needed to check her water.
When she was not looking one of the men went upstairs to her bedroom and stole her bank books. It was not until they had left did she realise that they were missing.
The incident happened on Thursday, January 8, between 10-10.30am. Anyone with information can call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
