Corsham Area Heritage has dug into its archives and created two displays at Springfield Community Campus showcasing historic photographs.

They include black and white images of the Corsham Library being built in Pickwick Road in 1965, as well as pictures and a map showing some of Corsham’s post-war ‘prefab’ houses.

The organisation would like to hear from anyone who was involved in the building of the library or who lived in the houses on 01249 714660.

It has also been working with Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre in Chippenham to create a ‘Wiltshire at War’ First World War project which goes on display at the campus tomorrow and runs through March.

Stuart Wheeler, cabinet member for Arts and Culture, will open the exhibition, which will be touring the county for a year. Historic war novelist Stewart Binns will hold a free talk on Thursday, March 5, from 7pm at the campus.
