THE families of John Welch, 74, from Corsham, and Eileen Swannack, 73, of Biddestone, today had confirmation that they died in the terrorist attack in Tunisia.
Both have now been formally identified as victims in the attack and police informed their families today.
The couple, who had been together for eight years, were regular visitors to the beach resort of Sousse in Tunisia and died in the shooting on Friday.
Specially-trained family liaison officers from Wiltshire Police have been supporting their families.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “The families are devastated at the loss of their loved ones in such a terrible manner and have asked the media to respect their wish for privacy at this very difficult time.”
