ANTIQUE lovers in Corsham will be spoilt for choice next week as Nicola White gets set to open the doors to her new shop on the High Street.

The new shop, called Previous, will be selling a whole host of homewares, vintage and quirky retro items, together with a range of jewellery, cards and children's toys.

Ms White, who lives in nearby Gastard, was previously a design history lecturer and author and over the course of her marriage to her architect husband, she has come to know a thing or two about selecting unusual pieces.

She said: “My aim is to inspire and delight the locally community. Whether they are looking for something at 50p or £50, for a traditional or a contemporary home, I will gladly offer free advice on putting looks together. And if somebody is looking for something elusive, then I have a passion for sourcing that extra special item.”

The 52-year-old has previously been selling her range as part of the ‘Domestic Science’ shop located in Tetbury which has attracted customers such as Lily Allen, Bill Nighy, Kirstie Allsopp, Jamie Dornan, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Guy Ritchie.

When deciding where to open a shop, Ms White said she was immediately drawn to Corsham and believes the town “has a lot to offer.”

She added: “I would like people to think of the shop as a general store where you'll find furniture, lighting, beautiful paintings, homewares, toys, textiles, bath and body treats, accessories, jewellery, cards and wrap. Come and say hello and have a browse, you never know what treasures you might find.”

Previous is expected to open on November 2.
