FIRE crews from Corsham were joined by rope rescue teams from Chippenham and Trowbridge on Monday to rescue a man who had a bad fall.

The man, in his 50s, had been walking in Woodland north of Pickwick Lodge Farm when he badly hurt his leg.

Fire crews used a basket stretcher to rescue the man, who was on a hill, and took him to a safe area, from where he was taken to hospital for treatment.
