PART of Box High Street is set to be cordoned off next month while repairs are carried out to the school and Old Dairy.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the east side of the High Street while contractors from Mouchel Parkman carry out repairs to the wall and railings.
This will involve the removal of weeds and plants which are damaging the wall.
The steel railings will also be repainted.
A section of the footpath will close with the temporary walkway being set up during the works.
A Box Parish Council spokesman said: "Traffic light control will be used only when necessary.
"In an effort to reduce the impact of work on the public, restrictions will be limited from 9am to 3pm during the school term time and 9am to 4.30pm at other times.
"Mouchel Parkman has apologised for the inconvenience that the works will cause and has said that every effort will be made to minimise disruption."
While no date has been yet set for the repairs to start, it is likely to be towards the end of January.
