A NORTH Wiltshire country house hotels has become the first in the West of England to achieve Hospitality Assured status.
The 41-bedroom Lucknam Park at Colerne has been awarded the prestigious internationally recognised Standard for delivering service and business excellence in hospitality.
The accreditation for Lucknam Park was undertaken by a team of independent assessors on behalf of the Institute of Hospitality, which is the professional body for hospitality industry managers worldwide.
Lucknam Park gained an overall Hospitality Assured score well in excess of the minimum required to gain the Standard.
Harry Murray MBE, managing director of Lucknam Park, said: "We are delighted. We were all aware that the process for achieving Hospitality Assured is rigorous, but we were encouraged by the benefits the accreditation would bring in terms of continuous improvements."
Other leading UK hotels, that have achieved Hospitality Assured, include the world renowned Ritz in London and the five-star Royal Garden Hotel.
