A mother, father and son today announced that they will all stand for the British National Party at forthcoming local elections.

Mick Simpkins, his wife Sue and their 18-year-old son Tristan, who run a family taxi service, put themselves forward for seats on Wiltshire Council at the elections on June 4.

Mr Simpkins Senior, the BNP's parliamentary candidate for Chippenham, is already a town councillor in Corsham, after he was elected unopposed two years ago.

He is standing in the Corsham Pickwick ward, while his wife will stand for the nearby ward of By Brook, with his son in the running for a seat in Corsham Town.

The BNP only lets white ethnic, indigenous British people join as full members. There are a total of 12 BNP candidates running for seats at Wiltshire Council in the forthcoming elections.
