An elderly driver was left in a tricky situation after his car shot across the road and into a dentists’ wall in Corsham last week.
The man had been driving along Pickwick Road last Tuesday at around 10am when his Vauxhall hit the wall of Hanlon and Gardner Dental Practice.
It is thought the man may have been trying to change gear in his automatic car when the incident happened.
The driver was uninjured and was able to call a recovery vehicle to remove the car from the pavement. Funeral director Aaron Bewley, who works only doors away, said: “I had come into work at about 9.30am and everything was fine.
“However when I popped out again after 10am I saw the car. We are only a few doors down but we didn’t hear anything. The car was removed after about an hour.”
Corsham Police were informed about the incident but did not attend as the car was not blocking the road and the driver was uninjured.
