Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw a traffic accident between Seend and Devizes which left a man hopsitalised over Christmas.
Andrew Loveridge, 58, from Melksham was driving along the A361 at Caen Hill towards Seend on Christmas Eve. At 4.25pm he lost control of his green Renault Scenic and hit an unoccupied bus shelter. As the accident happened a black Land Rover Discovery was turning right onto the A361 from the B3101 Rowde Road.
Mr Loveridge was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital with severe head injuries where he underwent surgery. He was discharged on Chistmas Day.
Wiltshire Police would like to speak to the driver of a blue Volkswagen which was driving behind Mr Loveridge's car at the time, as well as any other witnesses who may have information on the crash.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 1310 David Cooper of the serious collision investigation team on 101.
