Common Hill Road, off the A350, was closed for several hours on New Year’s Day following a two-vehicle collision at the Keevil turning.
Police were called at 11.18am after a blue Peugeot 306 containing five men in their 20s collided with a similar blue Peugeot 307 driven by a man.
Both drivers, three of the male passengers in the 306 and a woman passenger in the 307 were unharmed in the crash, but one rear passenger suffered abdominal injuries, including a fractured pelvis.
Fire crews worked for 45 minutes to free the man from the car, before Wiltshire Air Ambulance took him to Bath RUH.
The road was reopened at 2.24pm.
