Melksham couple make fundraising move

A husband-and-wife fundraising team has appealed for volunteers to help raise money for Cancer Research in Melksham.

Rob and Marie Bucknall-Smith, of Bowerhill, formed the town’s first dedicated group after recently moving to the town.

The group is now planning a series of events to raise money, starting with a curry night on Tuesday at the Melk-sham Tandoori, followed by a quiz night on April 6 at The Bell in Seend.

Mrs Bucknall-Smith added: “Cancer Research is something I am really passionate about. I have lost a lot of family and close friends to this disease and I felt like I wanted to do something to support them in the work that they do.”
