Bowerhill man Richard Newton will be sentenced today for the manslaughter of his wife Suzanne.
The 52-year-old was arrested last January when Mrs Newton’s body was found by neighbours at their home on Barnes Wallis Close.
He was charged with her murder after he was held in Devon a day after the discovery, but a guilty plea of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility was accepted by the court in November.
Newton had been an employee of Hills Waste, and his wife worked for Calne-based firm Darren Guinness Associates at the time of her death.
