An evil Black Knight is set to descend on Melksham later this month, in a performance by the town’s long-running pantomime group.

Rehearsals are under way for the Melksham Music and Drama group’s Knight Fever, staged at the Assembly Hall.

Set in the kingdom of Camelot, the show follows humble stable boy Justin, who dreams of becoming a knight of King Arthur’s Round Table.

The group’s Donna Ruderman said: “We’re an amateur community group, but had quite a few who have gone on to do more theatre-type work. We’re all really looking forward to the show.”

Knight Fever is on at 7.30pm from February 19 to 22, with a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets are £7 from the venue, or www.mmad.org.uk
