Melksham's third comic convention is set to be bigger than before, after its £5,000 goal was met three days early.
The target was set through the online fundraising website Kickstarter, which rewards donations with unusual prizes.
If the target is not met however, the site’s rules mean no pledges are taken.
By Thursday £5,186 was raised before the appeal closed last Saturday and organiser Hayley Spencer said: “It happened overnight which was quite a nice surprise to wake up to.”
The convention including comic artists and enthusiasts is in the Assembly Hall on August 30 and 31. Tickets from www.melkshamcomiccon.com, or from the KomiX store on Church Street, Melksham.
