12:32pm Thursday 11th January 2007 in Melksham By Charley Morgan
BLUSTERY winds have blown down a power line near a Melksham primary school.
Police have closed off Bath Road, outside Shaw Primary School, so repairs can take place.
A police car was driving along the road when the lines blew down at 11.30am.
No one was injured in the incident and workmen with Southern Electric cut off the power temporarily to repair the lines.
Linesmen were also called to Derry Hill near Bowood this morning where electricity cables had been damaged due to the strong winds. Police diversions for motorists were in operation.
