Fresh from his success on the BBC2 programme Dragons’ Den, young entrepreneur Jordan Daykin has moved his business, Gripit Fixings, to larger premises in Melksham.

Mr Daykin won £80,000 of support funding for 25 per cent of his business from Dragon Deborah Meaden, pictured with him, and now the 19-year-old has moved from Hampton Park West and taken lease of a larger base at Ashville Centre, Melksham.

The business was set up by Mr Daykin and his grandfather in 2009 after they invented a gadget for plasterboard fixings, with initial funding being provided by Mr Daykin’s father.

The new 3,000 sq ft premises was chosen to accommodate the growth in the business.

Mr Daykin said: “This has allowed all the stock to be in one place enabling the placing and packaging of orders to be undertaken with ease. It has also allowed for more efficient management of the assembly and packing process.”
