Melksham Town Council is considering the possibility of installing a removable bollard in Church Street to stop people parking near the Prince of Wales Garden.
The garden, which is in a conservation area, is designed to be a place of tranquillity where people can go to sit. But concerns have been raised by nearby businesses that drivers are ignoring the no parking sign and endangering pedestrians.
The matter has been brought to the attention of the town council and quotes are being collected to see whether a removable bollard is feasible.
