Training charity The Learning Curve has opened a new centre in Melksham to help people develop their skills in work and home life.

Pensioners Doreen Milner, 78 and Stella Cruse, 80 were chosen to open the centre after learning computer skills as part of a course with the charity. They posed for posters as part of the Get Online Week national campaign.

Opportunities offered include parenting skills for young people, support for unemployed people and first aid and training qualifications.

Melksham Rotary Club has pledged to support fundraising to help develop Learning Curve at its new Melksham centre at 3 Challeymead Business Park.
