Brownies and Scouts in Melksham will be seen in the dark this winter thanks to Specsavers in Melksham donating 100 high- visibility jackets to them.
As part of Road Safety Week from November 17-23 the firm in Bank Street is backing the campaign. It welcomed a group of Cubs, Scouts and Brownies into the store on Tuesday.
Claire Neal, from the Melksham Scout Group, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to Specsavers. We are an active group with ages from six to 14 and the donation of hi-vis vests will help us extend the outdoor adventures we can offer while continuing to ensure they remain safe and seen this winter.”
Martyn Thomas, store director at Specsavers said: “We wanted to give the hi-vis vests to these groups to ensure their safety in the town.”
