Police officers were called to a two vehicle collision in St Georges Road, Semington, Melksham, at 1.10pm today, which resulted in one of the drivers being taken to hospital.
Emergency services attended the scene after a white Toyota car was in collision with a white Volvo tanker.
The woman driver of the car was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath after being freed by firefighters, including a crew from Trowbridge.
The woman suffered facial injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening. The road was cleared just before 2pm.
