An appeal against planning refusal of a solar farm in Little Chalfield has been lodged by Solar Planning Ltd and Sun Edison.
Plans to build a 12 megawatt solar farm on 25 hectares of land for 25 years at West of Ganbrook Farm, Broughton Gifford, were submitted earlier this year but rejected by Western Area Planning Committee meeting in September on the grounds that it was a “dominant and uncharacteristic development” and the security cameras and fencing would cause “unacceptable harm to the landscape character”.
An independent inspector will make the final decision.
