THE sun came out at Forest and Sandridge Primary School when Key Stage Two children gave their Christmas performance of the musical Annie.

On Friday, 120 children from the Melksham school performed two shows in Queensway Chapel Hall in front of a packed room of parents and family.

The title role was played by 10-year-old Year 6 student Erin Baber.

Headteacher Anna Wilcox said: “All the children did themselves proud. Ofsted came in the middle of rehearsals, which caused a disruption, so the children worked really hard to make sure they were ready for the shows.”

Each year the school puts on a Year 6 show in the summer, a junior school performance at Christmas and an infant school nativity.
