MELKSHAM man Max Weston is facing trial accused of robbing one person and trying to rob two others.
He is also alleged to have been in possession of a knife on November 29 in Bradford on Avon.
Weston, 24, of Sangster Avenue, Melksham, pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to March 6 and remanded him in custody until then.
He will stand trial alongside Tania Wells, who also pleaded not guilty to possessing a knife.
Wells, 20, pleaded guilty to robbery, two counts of attempted robbery and perverting the course of justice.
She admitted making a false witness statement to the police the day after committing the robberies.
Wells, of Campion Close, Calne, was released on conditional bail until the March trial.
