JOHN Stuart Funeral Directors in Melksham are appealing for Easter eggs to donate to children in hospital.
After the success of their selection box appeal at Christmas and seeing the joy it brought to the children, they want to do something again for youngsters spending Easter at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Ashley McDonald, from the funeral directors in Bank Street, said: “With them having no chance to go to church or do a hunt in their home, we would like to bring something for them to smile about.
“This is why we are asking the community to donate anything from a Cadbury’s Creme Egg to a £1 Easter egg, so that we can deliver them on Good Friday and the nurses can give them out on Easter Sunday to the children who are stuck in a hospital bed.”
