A STAR from the TV teenage drama Skins is coming to a Melksham school tomorrow night.
Unlucky in love character Sid Jenkins from the E4 programme Skins, aka actor Mike Bailey, is visiting George Ward School to judge a drama festival for Year 7, 8 and 9 students which runs until Wednesday.
Skins is focused around the lives of a group of teenage friends who live in Bristol. The group includes a gay character (Maxxie), an attractive and popular boy (Tony), his girlfriend (Michelle), a drug-taking Muslim (Anwar), a girl with an eating disorder and suicidal tendencies (Cassie) and a boy who is desperate to lose his virginity.
Sid is portrayed as an unlucky virgin who is in love with his best friend Tony's girlfriend, Michelle.
He is frequently unlucky: losing expensive weed, getting beaten up by Jal's brothers, getting urinated on by a dog and a homeless person.
Sid is also very intelligent but underachieves in school because he is easily distracted.
