THE village of Semington is gearing up for a 10k race to raise money for St George’s CofE Primary School.
Friends of the school and DB Max are teaming up, along with the village community, to organise the run to raise money for an all weather path and sensory activity project for the school.
The circular race, called The Semington Slog, will start at the primary school on May 9, at 10am, with a route that follows the canal towpath.
There will be several prizes for the first runners. Entry costs £12 and £10 if runners are already affiliated with a running club.
A George and the Dragon Fun Run will also take place on the day for all children and race organisers will be looking for impressive George, Dragon or Princess costumes. Entry will cost £2.
