HUNDREDS are expected to attend the annual Trainwest model railway exhibition in Melksham this weekend.
This year sees one of the biggest portable model railway layouts in the country - the extensive Gresley Beat layout from Kent - come to the town, which will travel in two large vans and takes a team of nine people at least 10 hours to set up.
The show will take place on April 11 and 12 at the Christie Miller Sports Centre. Admission costs £8 for adults and £5 for children. Advance tickets will be £2 cheaper and can be bought from Christie Miller and Gas Cupboard Models in Trowbridge.
Sunday tickets will cost £5 after 1pm on the Sunday and each adult will be able to bring a child free of charge.
There will also be a free bus running on Saturday from Chippenham Railway Station and will also call at Melksham station.
