THREE teenagers were approached by a man in the woody play area off Queensway in Melksham last Thursday evening (June 11).

The man, believed to be in his late 30s, approached the two girls, aged 15 and 16 and a boy of a similar age at around 8pm and offered to push them on a swing.

After they told him no, he then followed them onto Blackmore Road and tried to get the girls' attention. The trio carried on walking and later called police.

The man is described as white with short brown greasy hair with bearded stubble.

He was wearing a black T-shirt with red writing on, believed to be a work logo, blue denim jeans and black boots. He has been described as unclean looking and He spoke with a local accent.

After he left the group, it is believed that he walked in the direction of Pembroke Road.

Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Team are urging anyone with information to call them on 101.
