POLICE officers were called to The Bear pub in Melksham yesterday evening after two youths were allegedly threatening a couple with a knife.
The call was made at 5.50pm to report that two teenagers were threatening a man and woman in the pub on Bath Road with one spitting a drink in the woman’s face.
It was also reported at after moving outside the pub, one of the youth’s waved a four inch knife at the couple through a closed window.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We would like to reassure the public that we believe this was a one off incident, we are currently making enquiries to find the two suspects.
“We would also like to hear from any other witnesses who may have seen something suspicious around The Bear yesterday evening around this time.”
