MELKSHAM residents are being invited to attend next week’s area board meeting to hear the latest progress on the Melksham campus.

There will be updates on the construction of improved rugby and football facilities for the town’s clubs at Woolmore Farm and there will also be information made available on the potential role of the town council in the campus project.

People will also be able to get a glimpse into the services planned to be included at the campus.

The meeting will be interactive and attendees will be asked to participate in a campus-themed workshop. There will also be opportunities to provide feedback, ask questions and engage in workshop activities.

Chairman of Melksham area board, Jonathon Seed said: “There have been lots of Melksham Campus developments recently so we’re looking forward to speaking to residents about what the plans are, updating them on some of the latest progress and hearing what they think.

“We have had some really productive conversations with our partners about their involvement in the campus and things are taking shape and we are making rapid progress to the start of construction of the Melksham House phase of the project next year.

“Throughout the development of the campus the feedback and engagement with local residents has been vital and that will continue to be the case as we move forward. I hope people come along to the meeting and have their say”.

The meeting will be held in the Melksham Assembly Hall next Wednesday (September 9) at 7pm.
