THE Melksham School of Ballet, Tap & Modern is staging Hansel & Gretel this Halloween.
The show will be held at the Arc Theatre at 7.15pm on October 29 and 31 with a matinee performance on Saturday at 2.15pm.
The story is communicated entirely by dance, with the youngest performers aged just four and the eldest being 65.
Anne Barrett, who runs the event with daughter Jayne Green, said: “It’s a lot of hard work to put the show together but we all have such fun working on it and the students do a wonderful job.”
There are also raffles that take place in all four performances, which aim to raise funds towards a new dance floor at the studio based in Melksham Forest.
The 110 student dance school was set up over 24 years ago and has continued to flourish and grow but went through difficulties five years ago after its old home at the Canberra Youth Centre was demolished.
Tickets cost between £8 but there is a £6 concession which can be bought from the Arc Theatre box office or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/event/105973.
