OWNERS of a Melksham dance school had a five-year wish to move studio answered.

Four Stars Dance Studio was previously located at the Christie Miller Sports Centre for 19 years but made the move to Avonside Enterprise Park on Thursday, December 3.

The studio is jointly owned by Linda Bramwell-Chivers, her daughter Emmajane Bramwell-Chivers and Amanda Vince.

Ms Bramwell-Chivers, 59, of Calne, said: “It was brilliant. Lots of our students and parents came along and the mayor came to cut the ribbon.

“It went really well and everyone really loves the new studios. Students are all really excited and we start on Saturday.

“We wanted our own studios. We are still renting but we are renting the whole building and can use it when we want.

“It means we can offer more than just dance tuition. We can do children’s parties, we can extend our dance school, extend in all ways and do more adult classes.”

Major Terri Welch was at the ceremony at 4.30pm to cut the ribbon as Four Stars Dance Studio moved into its new residence.

Ms Bramwell-Chivers added: “It just offers us the scope to develop further. The other place was holding us back.

“We were tied to their times and what they said. We can now just put a class on whenever.

“It is amazing because it is something we have always wanted. It is in a prime location in the centre of Melksham.”

The school offers several different types of classes including, ballet, tap, modern stage, disco, street dancing and Latin and ballroom.
