MOTORISTS are facing long delays on the A361 at Seend after a lorry is reported to have damaged a bridge.
Police were called to Trowbridge Road near the Malthouse Barn at 2.23pm this afternoon after an articulated lorry, with a tractor and JCB on the back, had damaged the bridge.
It is not yet known whether the damage is structural but it is believed that parts of the bridge have fallen into the river.
Officers closed the road because of the potential dangers to drivers and it has since reopened.
