RESIDENTS in Seend are being urged to be extra vigilant after a man was seen testing car door handles in the area.
The incident took place at approximately 4.15am on Monday, May 9 but the man was unable to gain entry to any vehicles.
It follows a similar incident reported in the area back in January.
PCSO Helen Wilson, of Melksham Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We would like to speak to the man pictured in connection with this incident.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify him, however, we would urge all residents to be extra vigilant and ensure their vehicles are locked when left unattended, and that all valuable items are removed. Opportunists will strike anywhere, so by taking these simple steps, you will help reduce your chances of falling victim to this type of crime.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
