A SERIOUS accident, which left seven people injured, has closed the A350 at Melksham this afternoon. (Saturday)
Fire, police and ambulance crews were called to the road near McDonalds after a Honda Jazz swerved across the road, collided with a Toyota and turned over. A Peugeot Partner was also struck.
The driver of the Honda was trapped in his car and had to be cut free by firefighters from Melksham and Trowbridge. Swift Medics and the air ambulance were also at the scene.
Two people, including the driver of the Honda, are believed to be in a serious condition. Five others were taken to hospital by ambulance. It is understood the air ambulance, although at the scene, did not convey anyone to hospital.
