MELKSHAM company Cooper Tire Europe have reason to celebrate after becoming the official tyre partner of a German football team in its top division.
The business, in Bath Road, has agreed a three-year partnership with German Bundesliga side, 1. FSV Mainz 05
Cooper branding will appear on the football club’s LED advertising boards at their home ground, the Opel Arena, when the season gets underway on September 11 against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Jeff Schumaker, Managing Director, Cooper Tire Europe, said: "We are delighted to be extending our football partnerships across Europe with this sponsorship of this successful team.
"We believe we have identified a German club that is on an equal footing to our brand both in terms of values and vision.
"This presents us with the ideal opportunity to increase brand awareness in the German market, which is one of our key territories."
In July, Derby County FC announced that Melksham's Avon Tyres is the Rams’ back of shirt and shorts sponsor for the upcoming 2016/17 Sky Bet Championship season too.
