A MELKSHAM man serving a six-month electronically-tagged daily curfew as part of a community order imposed by magistrates earlier this year has had his tag turned off – so he can go on a holiday with his family.
Sam Farley, 23, of Lincoln Green, appeared before Wiltshire Magistrates sitting in Swindon on Monday (jun12) asking for the tag to be temporarily removed.
The probation service reported to the court that Farley had so far complied with every aspect of his community order.
Chairman of the bench Ms S Matthews told Farley that on the basis he had done so well with his community order the application would be granted.
He was told that the tag, which is waterproof, would remain attached but would be switched off for the five days of the holiday.
