A DEALER who was involved in supplying heroin and crack cocaine in West Wiltshire has been remanded in custody by a judge.

Tumaini Matsimela had been due to face trial by judge and jury after pleading not guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs.

But before a jury could be sworn in at Swindon Crown Court the 33-year-old changed his pleas to admit the allegations.

Matsimela, 34, of Southmead, Bristol, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply.

Judge Tim Mousley QC remanded him custody so he can be sentenced at the same time as three co-defendants.

In February Melody Collins, 28, Franco Cosentino, 37, and Jack Hedges, 23, all pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply.

All four defendants were involved in the trade between Boxing Day 2015 and February 3 2016.

Collins, of Kings Avenue, Corsham, Cosentino, of Cranesbill Road, Melksham and Hedges, of Pockeridge Road, Corsham, are all on bail.

But they were warned "That is no indication that there won't be immediate prison sentences, do you understand?"

Matsimela was jailed for seven years at Bristol Crown Court in 2009 for drug dealing and was put on a community order in 2004 for supplying drugs in Chippenham.

On that occasion he threw a stash of heroin and crack from the window of a house on Roman Way, Pewsham, when police raided it.

A date has not yet been set for the sentencing hearing.
