STAFF and customers of the Travis Perkins branch in Melksham have raised more than £9,030 plus gift aid for Macmillan Cancer Support this year.

They raised the cash through a variety of activities and events, including a charity auction, footgolf, running in the London Marathon, a Tour de TP bike ride covering all the branches in the South West and South Wales, as well as karting, coffee mornings and raffles.

Robbie Newton, the assistant branch manager in Melksham, said: "Your support was a tremendous help to our fund raising efforts and will enable Macmillan Cancer Support continue to do their great work.

"I will be running the London Marathon again in 2018 and need suggestions for fancy dress. Any ideas you may have would be very much appreciated!"
