A MARTIAL arts professional and health and fitness teacher from West Wiltshire has just published his third book.

Matt Hill, a 44-year-old from Seend Cleeve, who runs the local Systema Academy, has recently released his third book. 'Living Systema' through Mirador Publishing.

The books cover what he teaches at his Systema Academy on the Avonside Enterprise Park in Melksham, which he launched five years ago and now has more than 100 members.

Matt said: “Living Systema is aimed at getting people out of their chair, out of the gym and back to a sustainable and natural level of health, skill fitness and wellbeing. It outlines 30 practices to integrate training into everyday life.”

Mr Hill, a former captain in the Parachute Regiment, is a 5th Dan in Aikido, a modern Japanese martial art, and lived in a DoJo in Japan for two years.

After leaving the Parachute Regiment, he has been teaching full time at his academy as well as teaching seminars and in boot camps in the UK and around the world.

He said: “I've seen the difference that Systema makes to people of all ages, making them calmer, healthier, more confident and happier. I'm very proud to be able to share this message to a wider audience.

“The best thing for local people is to come along to our very friendly and accessible training nights and find out just why Systema is having such a big impact on people.”
