PERFORMERS who breath life into Shakespeare have been given a unique opportunity to join a group that holds open air performances to crowds every year.
Shakespeare Live needs a young man to step into the limelight and join their cast for the upcoming production of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Comic timing and the ability to spout poetry, sonnets and even a dance or two will be needed to take on the role of Fenton, the story’s eligible bachelor to be played by an actor aged 18-30.
The play will be performed at Cleeve House, Seend, from July 2-7. Rehearsals begin on Sundays from late April.
A spokesman for Shakespeare Live said: "This is quite a large part and could be an ideal introduction to working with Shakespeare Live, who maintain very high standards and attract very big audiences."
The crew also need a new storage venue to hold the company’s elaborate props and sets, ranging from large flats and archways to wooden weapons and shields.
